One person is arrested every 37 seconds for marijuana. As a direct result of the failed War on Drugs, almost 500,000 people are incarcerated for drugs on any given night given night in America (ten times the total in 1980). Together with Shawn “Jay Z’ Carter and Molly Crabapple, the campaign includes a video and campaign aimed at moving the public to have a more humane and thoughtful approach to drug policy in America.
Partnering with the Drug Policy Alliance, the nation’s leading organization that works to change the public perception of marijuana and the larger attitudes that reduce the harms of both drug use and drug prohibition, REIMAGINE JUSTICE is launching a campaign to raise awareness of racial justice and the multi-million dollar above ground marijuana industry.
